India

The program in India exposes volunteers to a broad range of issues.  Some of the topics covered in the past have been: children’s poverty and education; the economic empowerment of women; communal riots; disaster relief; and health care in urban slums.  The program incorporates presentations by diverse organizations, visits to host organization projects as well as hands-on participation and sightseeing.
