UFS Starts New Chapter in Boston!

Congratulations to United for Service on expanding its services to Boston. As a whole, our goal is to instill a sense of social responsibility and leadership among young Muslim adults in North America by providing first-hand opportunities to serve others globally and locally. We aim to continue spreading our mission as long as we can.

Our staff will have bi-monthly meetings to plan events and priorities that will help better the local Boston community, and provide resources where needed.  The Chapter  hosted its first event on May 3rd by volunteering at Rosie’s Place, a shelter for battered women and children, where they served dinner and helped with pantry distributions.

The Chapter will also be involved with helping the victims of the Boston Marathon Explosions.

Currently, the Boston Chapter is led by Natalia Galindo and Nadhira Mohammed, and is seeking additional members to join their management team. If anyone is interested in getting involved with the Boston Chapter, its events, or the regional development in general, please contact Mehveen Bukhari at mehveen@unitedforservice.org.
