The GPS Gandhi Nagar School Activity Center In Hyderabad Needs Our Help

We believe that all children should have the opportunity to be a part of an excellent school.

The 3rd and 4th grade teachers at GPS Gandhi Nagar—a government school, located in Begumpet, Hyderabad, as part of the Teach for India fellowship—is planning to create an activity center as a place for our students to enjoy extracurricular activities. However, their school is very under-resourced. The government does not provide the funds to pay for the electric bills or for a janitor to keep the school clean.

Because of the low-income backgrounds of their students, they cannot afford extracurricular activities—a luxury many of us grew up with. Most of the students in the school are first-generation learners. We want every child in the school to have access to the same resources that their higher-income peers have. That includes creating a well-endowed library along with educational kits ranging from puzzles, educational games, and mechanical toys.

Please visit the iGive page to support our cause. Your contribution however big or small will impact over 200 students.

Thank you,

Apoorva and Zuha
